About the Artist: I started my adventure in fusing glass a little over 20 years ago. I had spent a few months on what I called my “passion quest” to discover an art medium that spoke to me. I took classes in painting, clay, paper marbling, bookmaking, stained glass, and bead-making. All were fun, but it was the moment when I put a rod of glass into a flame to create a bead that really hooked me.
I followed up that class with a course at Arrowmont Art College in Tennessee focused on mosaics and fusing glass. As soon as I returned home I purchased my first kiln, grinder, and other fusing tools. Since then, I’ve traveled around the country to take fusing classes from some of the best glass artists in the country. I love learning new techniques to incorporate into my original pieces. I never get tired of experimenting and creating. Exhibit on display February 27, 2023- April 14, 2023 |
